I am enjoying the freedom that other instruments are giving me. I've been playing jaw harp since I first moved to Grand Canyon in 1977... seems they were everywhere. The shaker is a recent addition, and a lot of fun. And delving back into some simple keyboards can either lend a different mood to a tune or add power, depending on what you want. Music provides such diversity. And as Mr Zappa showed us, gives us that very unique outlet for all that wonderfully quirky schtuff!

Some of you may have visited the Heartland Country Choir website by now, and for some of you, it may still be under construction. Hey, you say, I've gone to the Where 2C HC2 (i.e., where and when are our gigs), and what in the heck is STL or XRM.
Here are some standard places we play -- STL is the Still Life Coffeehouse and Cafe in Fremont, the Center of the Universe. Still Life hosts the Wednesday night Victory Music Open Mic. We are endeavoring to play there as a band at least every other week -- 1 or 2 songs. Come check us out the next time you are in search of the center of the universe!
XRM = Crossroads Shopping Center, at the corner of 156th NE and NE 8th in Bellevue. As of January 2003, the Crossroads open mic, also a Victory Music venue, shifts to Friday nights from 6pm - 10pm. We also hope to play Crossroads as a group at least every other week.
